The term "race," as used in America, is not from God, but from those who oppose God as the Creator of the world. Although race, in its negative context, existed prior to Darwinism, Darwin's work, which was published in 1859, now permeates our society and fuels division. The Bible teaches that there is but one race (human). It in no way teaches that man evolved from something lower or that humans are even remotely related to animals. The Bible teaches that all humans come from on man (Adam) and one woman (Eve) and it never uses the word, "race" in the context of skin color. Therefore, division within the body of Christ (i.e., His church) has to grieve God's heart.
