King David was considered to be a man after God’s own heart. That might lead you to believe he lived a perfect life... but that couldn’t be further from the truth. When you read the story of his life, you see many incredible highs, but also many deep lows. But what his story reveals if a powerful truth for us today. Our standing with God isn’t based on our resume of great things we have done or by how perfectly we have lived, but by how we chase after and pursue the heart of God in our times of great success and also great failure. This truth of God’s grace and love is what gives us great hope also is what draws us to chase after His heart!
